LJCC - Haiti - A Short History

  • Thursday 1 July from 10:30am to 3pm
at Ivy House.
With William Tyler
Haiti has recently been in the news, its poverty and lack of government exposed. Sadly, its entire history has been the exploitation of its people, first by Europeans and then by fellow Haitians. Along the way we shall visit Spanish Hispaniola, meet imported black slaves and colourful characters from L'Ouverture to the Duvaliers. £30
